Operation: Back to School equips more than 3,000 Hood County students with free school supplies, helping them start the year confident and prepared. Hosted by the Hood County Children’s Charity Fund, the event creates a fun, dignified shopping experience where students pick out their own supplies. Thanks to the support of our generous community, we’re giving local kids more than backpacks—we’re giving them a brighter future.

Donate Backpacks
1. Shop any new backpacks at your favorite retailer and provide the backpack to us. We will stuff it and provide it to a student in need!
2. Purchase a new backpack and fill it with the supplies a student needs to start the school year. Below is a link to the school supplies that you can fill the backpack with!

It takes a village to make Operation: Back to School a success—and we need you! Volunteers are essential both before and during the event.
In the weeks leading up to distribution, we need helping hands to sort supplies, assist with purchasing, and set up the event space. Then, during our big event day, volunteers will help distribute supplies and ensure every student has an amazing experience picking out their new gear.
Whether you can give a few hours or a full day, your time makes a lasting impact. Join us in lifting up Hood County students and setting them up for a bright school year ahead!
