Operation: Back to School equips more than 3,000 Hood County students with free school supplies, helping them start the year confident and prepared. Hosted by the Hood County Children’s Charity Fund, the event creates a fun, dignified shopping experience where students pick out their own supplies. Thanks to the support of our generous community, we’re giving local kids more than backpacks—we’re giving them a brighter future.

1. Shop our Walmart or Amazon registry for supplies we need. All supplies will be shipped directly to us.
2. Purchase new school supplies and drop them off in one of our boxes around town, or at the United Way building.

It takes a village to make Operation: Back to School a success—and we need you! Volunteers are essential both before and during the event.
In the weeks leading up to distribution, we need helping hands to sort supplies, assist with purchasing, and set up the event space. Then, during our two big event days, volunteers will help distribute supplies and ensure every student has an amazing experience picking out their new gear.
